The Laptop maker have forgotten the Pro Users

After the launch of Window 8 on October 26, most of the brands have come out with the new convertible machine design with Ultrabook design and touchable screen.

Here are some of the products:
  • Asus announce its lineup of Window 8-based products. (e.g TAICHI, VivoBook, Transformer Book, ZENBOOK touch, VivoTab & All-in-One PC).
  • Dell New XPS 12 Convertible 12 Ultrabook.

All of these new products have been focused on portable and ultra slim design that come with a smaller screen size (e.g. 11 inch, 12 inch or 13 inch) and  lower spec (e.g. poor graphic display card) for users that used their laptop for web surfing, documenting, and media entertaining. The laptop makers have forgotten the pro users and gaming users that still looking for a portable and touchable screen laptop.

Window 8 is a completely redesign operating system that work well with a touchable screen. Therefore, it's no wrong for the market to demand for touchable machine. For example, touch interaction is really work well with graphic painting, multimedia editing or even gaming control.

It's really sad that non of a brand has come out with a higher spec portable machine with touchable screen. The pro users not even asking for high spec ultra slim machine or convertible machine.

The laptop maker should seriously consider about different demands in the market.
